1) tracking helps you remember what weights you were using so you can start to progress over time.
2) you can look at your workouts vs. your results and see if what you are doing is helping you achieve your goals.
3) when you are feeling like you are in a rut, you can look back and see how far you have come! Seeing your progress is incredibly motivating and will give you the little boost you need.
You can track your workouts in an app, in your phone notes, or old fashion pen and paper and get ready to crush some goals!
PS: If you are doing random workouts every session to “mix it up” you likely aren’t going to get the best results or reach your goals efficiently and effectively. Following a training plan that is aligned with the goals you have and the results you want to achieve is the best way to make progress.
